Welcome to the web site for our wedding. We're sure a lot of you thought this day would never come. Is six-and-a-half years a long time to be engaged?
We'll be posting information here between now and the wedding date to update you on what's going on with the wedding and what you can expect.
We're looking forward to getting together with a lot of our family and friends for a nice, peaceful morning at the beach, and perhaps a slightly less peaceful celebration in the afternoon at a nearby B&B. The wedding is taking place on the boardwalk in one of our favorite towns, Ocean Grove, a quaint little Victorian seaside resort founded by Methodists in the 19th century. We're hoping for good weather.
The wedding is taking place in a little pavillion right on the boardwalk, with a gorgeous view of the ocean. The pavillion is often used for concerts on summer evenings. If you look at the response card that came with the invitations, you'll see a picture of the pavillion where we're getting married. That picture was from a linen postcard of the 1950s that we found in one of the many antique shops in Ocean Grove.

Invitations went into the mail on Saturday, March 15. You should know that, of course, since the insert that came with the invitations is the only place this site has been mentioned. The invitations were, in Laura's words, lovingly hand-crafted. In Ralph's words, some of them are kind of unreadable. Damn.
If you have trouble reading your invitation, the text is on the insert. Or you can read it here:

Most of what you need to know about the wedding is on the insert that came with the invitations. If you've misplaced the insert, or you can't read it, you can download a copy of it in PDF format. In the interest of not driving those of you with modems crazy, I've removed the photograph that tints the background. That photograph is from the wedding of Laura's grandparents Adelina Saracco and John Pantano in Paterson, New Jersey, on 26 December 1931. If you want a better view, here it is, not greyed out and covered with text:

It's a lovely picture, yes?
